The colours used throughout our designs are reminiscent of the Etna volcano: the black of the lava stone, the red of the lava and the white of the snow. Each of our wines has a unique label design that includes a technical illustration representing the philosophies and emotions of the demanding terrain that hosts the extreme viticulture of Etna Doc.
CARBONIO®
C14 is the radioactive carbon isotope - a percentage of which is found carbonized in wood and is incorporated into volcanic deposits which allows the dating of eruptions up to 40,000 years ago.
One of the most common forest wood species on Etna is chestnut. Its wood, as per Etnea tradition, is used both for the poles in support of the vines and for the construction of the barrels.
